Host your own NRC Grassroots Event

The NRC's grassroots program was created to invite United States Congressmen to visit NRC member facilities and construction project sites. These visits give the Members of Congress firsthand knowledge of the rail industry and demonstrate how rail contractors and suppliers are positively affecting the rail industry and the local and national economy. If your company is interested in hosting your Congressman for a visit, please contact Ashley Bosch to begin the process.

Austinburg, OH - On 6/25/14, U.S. Senator Rob Portman's (R-OH) District Representative, George Brown, joined representatives from Delta Railroad Construction (Delta) for a tour of Delta's Quality Track Equipment facility in Austinburg, Ohio. Additional attendees included Tom Pope, Vice President of Koski Construction Company in Ashtabula, Ohio. The NRC organized the event.

Delta Manager Steve Pratt and Delta Vice President of Equipment Paul Laurello briefed Mr. Brown and Mr. Pope on the history of the company and the extensive build-out and remodel that Delta Railroad Construction performed on QTE's Austinburg facility to make it fit their specific needs for rehabilitating railroad equipment. In addition, the Delta team spoke on the cooperation they received from the local government, utilities, and educational facilities, as well as the number of machines they move through the facility annually.

Founded in 1957, Delta Railroad Construction is a family-owned and operated company that has grown from a small track repair business serving local clients to a full-service railroad construction company. Quality Track Equipment, a division of Delta Railroad Construction, maintains and rehabilitates railroad maintenance-of-way equipment at their facility in Austinburg, Ohio.
